In 2012, approximately 6.6 million children worldwide - 18 000 children per day - died before reaching their fifth birthday, according to a new report released today by UNICEF, WHO, the World Bank Group and the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs/Population Division. In the Mpex cystic fibrosis trial, nebulized Aeroquin met the primary endpoint of reducing bacterial counts of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in sputum after 28 days of dosing versus placebo.
