Osteologix, Inc. (OTCBB:OLGX) today announced that the Japan Patent Office (JPO) has issued a Decision to Grant a Patent for Application Number 2006-504379: "Treating Cartilage/Bone Conditions with Water-Soluble Strontium Salts". The patent claims cover the treatment of osteoporosis and related bone conditions using NB S101 (strontium malonate), the Company's lead osteoporosis drug candidate.
For parents, storing their newborn baby's umbilical cord blood is a way to preserve potentially lifesaving cells. Now, a group of University of Florida Health researchers has found a way to expand and preserve certain cord-blood cells as a potential treatment for Type 1 diabetes.
"We are delighted to be working with such esteemed institutions in order to generate cutting-edge therapeutic antibodies," said Matthew Baker, chief scientific officer and co-founder of Antitope. "This agreement combines our partners' expertise in novel therapeutic strategies with Antitope's expertise in engineering humanized antibodies to create therapeutic antibodies that may have a significant impact on the treatment of these major diseases."
A new study by University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center researchers suggests that targeting a key enzyme and its associated metabolic programming may lead to novel drug development to treat lung cancer.
Using sugar molecules researchers from the University of Copenhagen have developed a new vaccine for hay fever that may reduce treatment times and increase the effect of treatments.
