As a first step in the relationship, the organizations will develop a community with 40 units for memory care services on the Carson Tahoe Specialty Medical Center campus. Construction will begin in 2014.
Kimberly-Clark Corporation and I-Flow Corporation, a leading healthcare company that develops and markets technically advanced, low-cost drug delivery systems and innovative products for post-surgical pain relief and surgical site care, today announced a definitive agreement whereby I-Flow will be acquired in a cash tender offer for approximately $324 million on a fully diluted basis.
New research indicates that sustained fluid overload- when there is too much fluid in the blood- may increase the risk of early death in kidney failure patients on hemodialysis. The findings, which appear in an upcoming issue of the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology, point to the importance of monitoring and treating fluid overload in these patients.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among American women (except for skin cancers). One in eight women in the United States will develop invasive breast cancer during their lifetime with an estimated 252,710 new cases of invasive breast cancer in 2017.
