BioMedix Vascular Solutions, Inc. announced today that John Romans, CEO and Meg Heim, RN, Vice President of Marketing have been invited to participate as members of the P.A.D. Task Force Committee on behalf of the Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, The California Podiatric Medical Association and the California Department of Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention (CDPH). The committee will meet today, February 4th, 2010 in the California State Capitol, Governors conference room.
Twelve investigators have received grants totaling $5 million over two years to lead high-impact, innovative studies of food allergy, a significant public health concern.
"Two groundbreaking initiatives, aimed at realistically achieving the once-unthinkable goal of ending new HIV infections among children by the end of 2015, were launched simultaneously at the World Economic Forum's Annual Conference in Davos" on Friday, according to a Business Leadership Council press release.

"Dr. David Blumenthal was not happy to find a new computer installed on his desk when he showed up for work one morning eight years ago at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He knew the hospital had been hard at work on developing an electronic medical record system, but Blumenthal wasn't keen on changing practices that had served him and his patients just fine over the years.
In recognition of its health promotion program that has demonstrated effectiveness in improving the health of workers while at the same time promoting efficient use of resources, Medical Mutual of Ohio was selected as one of three U.S. employers to receive the prestigious C. Everett Koop National Health Award for 2010.
