This week, at the Alzheimer's Association International Conference in Chicago, a group of researchers presented reserch findings on the gender differences in Alzheimer's causation. They speculated that women might be getting Alzheimer's and dementia more commonly than men and the reason behind this has not been clearly understood. Estrogen or the female hormone could be the key, the researchers state.
When too many blood platelets stick together in the bloodstream, they form dangerous clots that can clog blood vessels and cause a heart attack. If a clot doesn't get dissolved or rapidly removed, it can cause permanent damage or even death.

The trial is evaluating Hylenex® recombinant and a new formulation of Hylenex currently under U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA) review, when used as pretreatment of the insulin infusion site in patients with type 1 diabetes receiving continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSII) in comparison to no pre-treatment.
