IAIM seeks to support immunization managers to achieve vaccination goals

The Sabin Vaccine Institute today announced the launch of the newly-formed International Association of Immunization Managers (IAIM). Tibotec, Gilead Sciences enter license agreement for new combination product of PREZISTA and cobicistat

Tibotec Pharmaceuticals today announced that it has entered into a license agreement with Gilead Sciences, Inc., for the development and commercialization of a new once-daily single tablet fixed-dose antiretroviral combination product containing Tibotec's protease inhibitor PREZISTA® (darunavir) and Gilead's cobicistat, an investigational pharmacoenhancing or "boosting" agent.

New device for removing liver tumours with virtually no blood loss

The revolutionary new device uses radiofrequency energy to 'seal' tissue around a tumour site, allowing the tumour to be removed while preventing blood loss and other complications. The device has enabled surgeons to operate where previously it would have been too risky.
