OncoGenex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announced today initial results from the Phase 2 Rainier study evaluating apatorsen in combination with ABRAXANE (paclitaxel protein-bound particles for injectable suspension) (albumin-bound) and gemcitabine compared to ABRAXANE and gemcitabine alone in patients with untreated metastatic pancreatic cancer.
In a new study, young children and their adult caregivers uttered fewer vocalizations, used fewer words and engaged in fewer conversations when in the presence of audible television.
STAAR Surgical Company, a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of minimally invasive ophthalmic products, today reported results for the third quarter ended October 1, 2010. Revenue for the period grew 6% to $13.2 million reflecting core product (IOLs and ICLs) revenue growth of 10% and a 44% decrease in defocused product revenue as compared to the third quarter of 2009.
Using a set of different monoclonal antibodies, researchers determined different mutations in the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein that leads to resistance. Understanding these resistant mutations is important in developing effective therapeutic strategies.
