More than 1,400 hospice and palliative care professionals and researchers have gathered in Denver for the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization's 10th Annual Clinical Team Conference that begins today at the Hyatt Regency Denver.
The Diamond Princess Cruise ship left Yokohama (Japan) on 20 January 2020, for a fourteen-day tour with shore excursions in Japan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Taiwan. Unfortunately, one of the passengers who complained of mild dry cough was later confirmed to be SARS-CoV-2 positive. In due course, 19% of the passengers were infected with the virus, and thirteen people died.
From Junior Seau, former San Diego Chargers linebacker, to Dave Duerson, former Chicago Bears safety - who both committed suicide as a result of chronic traumatic encephalopathy, traumatic brain injuries have been making gruesome headlines at an alarming rate.
