Volunteers from the Catholic Church in Brazil helped to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 among the elderly, a new study shows.
The University of Michigan Health System doesn't claim to be perfect. But its response to medical errors, near-misses, unexpected clinical problems and unintended outcomes is a model for the nation that other hospitals can and should copy, according to a new paper in a prestigious health care journal.
The Earla Dunbar Consumer Award was created to honour Earla Dunbar's legacy. Ms.Dunbar, who will be in Vancouver to present Zoe Whittall the award, was the ADAC/ACTA Consumer Advisory Committee Chairperson since its inception in 2002.
According to a new study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) this week the accuracy of caloric counts from restaurants is unknown. On the same day, the Center for Science in the Public Interest released its annual ‘Xtreme Eating Awards' to eight menu items on the restaurant menus.
