A recent study conducted at the University of Texas at Austin, USA, has identified a highly conserved neutralizing antibody binding site on the spike S2 domain of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The study findings might help develop novel spike-targeting antibodies for widespread protection. The study is currently available on the bioRxiv preprint server.
According to The Wall Street Journal, five states - Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada and Oregon - will look to their own funds, remaining federal grants and new federal funding requests to pay these costs.
The Premier healthcare alliance today announced that seven new hospital supplier agreements have been launched in its supplier diversity program aimed at increasing the number of small, diverse and regional enterprises doing business with members of the Premier alliance.
A large cohort study following 37,000 teenagers for 17 years found that an elevated, yet normal range Body Mass Index constitutes a substantial risk factor for obesity-related disorders in young adults.
