In an age when many parents are struggling to find a balance between their offspring's out of school activities and their own needs and pleasures, new research has found that as far as middle-class children are concerned, these organized activities are linked to positive outcomes in school, emotional development, family life and behaviour.
Today, MEDRAD, Inc. and Pinestar Technology, Inc. announced plans to enable data communication between MEDRAD's Intego™ PET Infusion System and Pinestar's Nuclear Medicine Information System (NMIS). The companies are closing the information gap between state of the art infusion systems and the latest information systems, and thus adding to the workflow benefits of automated FDG infusion.
To prevent preeclampsia, new research suggests that low-dose aspirin should be given prophylactically to all women at high risk (those with diabetes or chronic hypertension) and any woman with two or more moderate risk factors (including obesity, multiple gestation and advanced maternal age).
Research presented today at Digestive Disease Week explores new discoveries in liver disease research, with findings about the impact of coffee on autoimmune disease and palliative care for cirrhotic patients.
