Sanofi Pasteur, the vaccines division of the sanofi-aventis Group, announced today that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the company's supplemental biologics license application (sBLA) for licensure of its Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine.
A new study has shown that the food allergies that people claim to have may not be true. The study reveals that as many as 20 percent of Americans over the age of 18 years believe that they are allergic to one or more food items. The study finds that the actual number of people who have a food allergy is close to 10 percent of the population. They also show that one in 20 Americans had a diagnosed case of a food allergy.

This multicenter randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled study compared the efficacy and safety of a single dose acyclovir Lauriad® 50mg Mucoadhesive Buccal Tablet (MBT) versus matching placebo in patients suffering from recurrent oro-facial herpes.
