Today, Dutch biomedical big data company GENALICE officially launched its all-in-one appliance for Next-Gen Sequencing (NGS) data processing, the GENALICE VAULT, at the annual conference of the American Society of Human Genetics.
"U.S. legislators are appealing to the United Nations to take a greater role in addressing Haiti's cholera outbreak, now in its third year and which has left thousands dead," Inter Press Service reports. "In a letter addressed to U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations Susan Rice, 104 U.S. members of Congress urged Rice to help step up U.N. concern over the outbreak," the news service writes.
Rising Tide Foundation for Clinical Cancer Research, an international private foundation based in Switzerland, has awarded a US $800,000 grant to be released over two years for the ASCOLT study conducted by Dr John Chia, Senior Consultant Medical Oncologist at the Division of Medical Oncology, National Cancer Centre Singapore.
Pluristem Therapeutics Inc. today announced that the independent DSMB approved the advancement to the intermediate dose level of the company's placenta derived cell therapy, PLX-PAD, in the Phase I clinical trial in Europe for the treatment of critical limb ischemia (CLI), the end stage of peripheral artery disease (PAD).
