The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, one of the National Institutes of Health, has awarded two groups at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine each approximately $2.3 million a year for seven years to establish two Programs of Excellence in Glycosciences.
Scientists studied the efficacy of an intranasal booster composed of beta variant-spike protein S1 with IL-15 and TLR agonists in macaques that were previously immunized.
The noisy sounds of snoring occur during sleep when there is an obstruction to the free flow of air through the passages at the back of the mouth and nose. Forty-five percent of adults snore at least occasionally and 25 percent are habitual snorers.
The first large scale study in the U.S. on the mortality of patients with multiple sclerosis has been published and provides new information about the life expectancy of people with the disease. The study appears in the journal Multiple Sclerosis and Related Disorders.
