Older men who have a weak or irregular circadian rhythm guiding their daily cycles of rest and activity are more likely to later develop Parkinson's disease, according to a new study by scientists at the UC San Francisco Weill Institute for Neurosciences who analyzed 11 years of data for nearly 3,000 independently living older men.
It was back in the 1960s that scientists first started to understand that breath could be used to find out different things about diseases and other factors. I'm sure you're familiar with alcohol breath testing, which was patented back in the ‘50s and has been used since the ‘60s.
Cubresa's SPECT scanner was used to determine if a novel molecular label, TRV6001, in development for in vivo imaging of the BChE enzyme present in the brains of Alzheimer's Disease patients follows the known distribution of the enzyme in animal models of the disease.
Practices for football, cross country and other high school sports in Illinois begin Wednesday, Aug. 10, and many athletes will do two-a-day workouts in the August heat.
