Study: Ciclopirox drug completely eradicates infectious HIV from cell cultures

The topical anti-fungal drug Ciclopirox causes HIV-infected cells to commit suicide by jamming up the cells' powerhouse, the mitochondria—according to a study by researchers at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.
