Lexicon Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering breakthrough treatments for human disease, announced positive, top-line proof-of-concept data from its recently completed Phase 2 study in carcinoid syndrome with LX1032, telotristat etiprate. Carcinoid syndrome is a chronic condition caused by neuroendocrine tumors that usually originate from the gastrointestinal tract.

Micromet, Inc. announced today the pricing of an underwritten public offering of 10 million shares of common stock at a public offering price of $7.00 per share. The Company has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase an additional 1.5 million shares of common stock from the Company. All of the shares in the offering are being sold by Micromet. The closing of the offering is expected to take place on March 17, 2010, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
