Many elderly patients who start dialysis after age 75 die within one year

New research from Mayo Clinic finds that half of elderly patients who start dialysis after age 75 will die within one year. The findings are being presented this week at the American Society of Nephrology's Kidney Week 2013 in Atlanta.

Eylea receives Health Canada approval for treatment of CRVO and DME

Bayer Inc. announced today that it has received approval from Health Canada for Eylea (aflibercept, solution for intravitreal injection) for the treatment of diabetic macular edema (DME).
