Novation today announced its dual-contract award in the Bone Densitometry category. Hologic, Inc. and Swissray International Inc. were both awarded agreements, replacing incumbent GE Healthcare in this category.
New research from Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York reveals that repeated exposure to cocaine decreases the activity of a protein necessary for normal functioning of the brain's reward system, thus enhancing the reward for cocaine use, which leads to addiction. Investigators were also able to block the ability of repeated cocaine exposure, to induce addiction.
Aquapharm Biodiscovery, a leading marine biotechnology company, announced today it has signed a research agreement with Albany Molecular Research to identify novel drug-like compounds and scaffolds with anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory activity from Aquapharm's marine natural products library derived from its extensive collection of marine micro-organisms.
