NicOx S.A. today announced that it has made three scientific presentations at the 2009 World Congress on Osteoarthritis (annual congress of the Osteoarthritis Research Society International - OARSI), which was held from September 10 to 13 in Montreal, Canada.
University of Alabama at Birmingham researchers have made the first direct demonstration that fecal donor microbes remained in recipients for months or years after a transplant to treat the diarrhea and colitis caused by recurrent Clostridium difficile infections - a serious and stubborn cause of diarrhea after an antibiotic treatment for some other illness.
Researchers at the University of Birmingham working with clinical teams at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust have successfully shown for the first time that breast cancer patients can be trained to achieve single prolonged breath holds of over five minutes, opening the door for targeted radiotherapy to be administered with just one dose in each daily session.
