The need for long term studies to establish the best means of treating Diabetes, was underlined by Prof John Cleland from the University of Hull at the ESC Congress in Munich. Prof Cleland listed the latest treatment available for patients and voiced his concern about the side-effects and efficacy of available anti-diabetic drugs.
Black women are more likely to die from breast cancer than white women with obesity considered a significant factor. But a new study shows that that the cause of the difference does not lie in obesity alone. As a group, black women in the U.S. tend to be heavier than whites and researchers had thought that might explain why only 78 percent survive five years after diagnosis, compared to 90 percent of white women.
Forbes Medi-Tech Inc. ("Forbes" or "Company") announced today that it has received a Nasdaq Staff Deficiency Letter indicating that it does not meet The Nasdaq Capital Market initial listing standard set forth in Listing Rule 5505 and unless the Company requests an appeal of the Staff's determination, the Company's common shares will be suspended at the opening of business on January 15, 2010, and a Form 25-NSE will be filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission which will remove the Company's common shares from listing and registration on The Nasdaq Stock Market.
