A combination of drugs widely used to treat infections caused by HIV appears to stop brain damage caused by the virus as well, according to a study published in the October 9, 2007, issue of Neurology, the medical journal of the American Academy of Neurology.
Current efforts to prevent violence against women and girls are inadequate, according to a new Series published in The Lancet. HHS Secretary Mike Leavitt on Friday said that Chinese bureaucracy has delayed plans to establish FDA offices in three cities - Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou - that would monitor exports of food, medications, medical devices and other consumer products to the U.S., the Associated Press reports.
