Results from HPTN 067, a Phase II, randomized, open-label study, demonstrate most study participants had higher coverage of sex events and better adherence when they were assigned to the daily dosing arm, investigators from the HIV Prevention Trials Network (HPTN) reported today at the 8th International AIDS Society Conference on HIV Pathogenesis, Treatment and Prevention in Vancouver, Canada.
When oral and oropharyngeal cancers (cancers of the mouth and upper throat) are detected and treated early in their development, survival rates can improve significantly. Regular oral cancer examinations performed by your oral health professional remain the best method for detecting oral cancer in its early stages.
News outlets report that the regulations, expected to be published later today, will allow religious nonprofits - and perhaps later religious business owners - to notify the government that they object to providing contraception coverage. Federal officials would then arrange for the workers' insurance.
A cancer diagnosis is frightening and often impacts patients on both a physical and an emotional level. It can actually lead to symptoms such as pain, nausea, anxiety and depression.
