A team of scientists has recently developed an allele-specific probe polymerase chain reaction method that can accurately detect different variants/lineages of SARS-CoV-2 in respiratory samples.
Researchers at Tsinghua University, Beijing, have conducted a study providing possible new insights into the evolution and cross-species transmission of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), the agent responsible for the current coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
Phase I clinical trials developed by Spanish Superior Scientific Research Council (CSIC) together with Gregorio Mara-n Hospital in Madrid and Cl-nic Hospital in Barcelona, reveals MVA-B preventive vaccine's immune efficiency against Human's immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
"Sahel states are bracing for a long, potentially deadly hungry season, many weakened by the return of people from Libya who are unemployed, armed and creating fresh strife in already-vulnerable countries," Agence France-Presse reports.
