The Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation and Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research, charitable arms of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, today announced a call for applications for their new perioperative patient safety Mentored Research Training Grant.
According to a new study in the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (JAAOS), imaging studies necessary to diagnose traumatic injuries sustained by pregnant women are safe when used properly.
Patients fitted with an orthopedic prosthetic commonly experience a period of intense pain after surgery. In an effort to control the pain, surgeons inject painkillers into the tissue during the operation.
Seeing proteins in their natural environment and interactions inside cells has been a long-standing goal.
