Americans are eating safer. The number of people who reported eating one or more foods associated with an increased risk of foodborne disease declined by a third from 1998 to 2002, according to survey results released at the International Conference on Emerging Infectious Diseases.
Adamis Pharmaceuticals Corporation, today announced the technology which constitutes its compound APC-200 was recently granted patents in Singapore and South Africa. These patents significantly strengthen the Adamis APC-200 patent portfolio for the use of APC-200 in the treatment of early and late stage prostate cancer.
More than 100,000 people will develop colon cancer in 2007, according to the American Cancer Society; the disease currently causes more than 55,000 U.S. deaths annually.
More than 20 percent of very small babies who died in California between 1991 and 2000 might have lived had they been born in different hospitals, say researchers at the Stanford University School of Medicine and the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System.
