A month ago, during a visit to her doctor's office in Sequim, Wash., Sue Christensen fell to her knees in the bathroom when her legs suddenly gave out.
Prematics, the leader in e-prescribing and care communication services, today announced a multi-year contract extension with Availity LLC, a national leader in health information exchange. Availity offers Prematics' e-prescribing services under the CarePrescribe private label. Per the terms of the agreement, Prematics will continue providing e-prescribing services to Availity through 2013, and add its Care Communication services for existing and future CarePrescribe users.
A University of California, Irvine scientific team led by infectious diseases researchers Philip Felgner and Aaron Esser-Kahn has received $8 million from the U.S. Department of Defense's Defense Threat Reduction Agency to help develop a new vaccine for Q fever.
