Medtronic, Inc. today announced the kick-off of an educational campaign aimed at raising awareness among women of overactive bladder (OAB), a serious condition that can severely impact patients' lives. This new campaign, conducted in partnership with leading patient advocacy groups focused on women's health will help to raise awareness of the prevalence of bladder control problems and encourage patients to find effective treatment options – including and beyond medications.
Richard Feinman, PhD, professor of biochemistry and of family medicine at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, will speak at the annual conference of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) on October 2, 2009. EASD is holding its annual conference September 28 - October 2 in Vienna, Austria.
