Why do some colleges have persistently high levels of binge drinking? It may be because, at these schools, binge drinking is associated with high status and binge drinkers are happier with their college social experience than their non-binge drinking peers, suggests new research to be presented at the 107th Annual Meeting of the American Sociological Association.
Resverlogix Corp. today announced that new data on RVX-208 was presented at the ERA-EDTA Congress in London, England in a poster entitled: "Effects of RVX-208, a First-in-Class Epigenetic BET-Inhibitor, on Key Renal Parameters in Subjects with a History of CVD, and Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD); a Post-hoc Analysis of Patients from the ASSERT, SUSTAIN and ASSURE Clinical Trials."
Nanobiotix, announced today that the Independent Data Monitoring Committee (IDMC) has reviewed the data of the first 6 patients treated in the phase I Study with the lead product NBTXR3 for the treatment of advanced Soft Tissue Sarcoma of the extremity. Based on the review of the safety data, the IDMC has unanimously recommended continuing the enrollment in the study according to the protocol. This trial is realized in the Institut Gustave Roussy, France.
House Democrats are calling foul on Republican assertions that cuts to a little-known discount drug program will eventually reduce skyrocketing drug prices.
Opioids are the most powerful painkillers. Researchers at the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin have now found that the analgesic effects of opioids are not exclusively mediated by opioid receptors in the brain, but can also be mediated via the activation of receptors in immune cells.
