NovaDel Pharma Inc. announced that an article titled "Rapid Oral Transmucosal Absorption of Sumatriptan, and Pharmacodynamics in Acute Migraine" was published online on June 22, 2009 in the peer-reviewed journal Headache: The Journal of Head and Face Pain.
Researchers at Karolinska Institutet in Sweden and their Danish colleagues have monitored HPV-vaccinated girls via patient data registries in order to examine the incidence of a wide range of diseases and thus determine if there are any serious adverse effects of the vaccine. Their results show no significant increase of the examined diseases in the vaccinated girls relative to their unvaccinated peers.
In a meeting at the White House Wednesday, a group of state insurance commissioners expressed concerns about President Barack Obama's proposal to extend canceled plans for one year that don't meet the requirements of the health law and both sides acknowledged that each state must come to its own decision about how to proceed.
Impressive examples of new non-invasive optical techniques using lasers, light-emitting diodes (LEDs), and spectroscopic methods to probe and render images from beneath the surface of the skin are featured in a newly completed special section in the Journal of Biomedical Optics published by SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics.
