Researchers in Canada have reported the discovery of a multi-antibody cocktail that synergistically protected against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) in an animal model of acute infection.
Whole body magnetic resonance imaging should be the imaging modality of choice for the detection of breast cancer metastases (when the cancer has spread beyond the breast) as it is highly accurate and can detect bone metastases while a patient is still asymptomatic (shows no symptoms), according to a study to be presented at the ARRS 2010 Annual Meeting in San Diego, CA.
TSO3 Inc. and 3M (MMM) today announced that an agreement has been reached for 3M to be the exclusive supplier and distributor of TSO3's STERIZONE(R) 125L+ Sterilizer. The partnership with TSO3, an innovator in low temperature sterilization technology for medical devices in healthcare settings through the use of ozone, will include new cycles to reach acute care facilities through 3M's global sales channel.
People who received intensive medical treatment following a first stroke had fewer second episodes and were less likely to die than people who received brain stents in addition to medical treatment, according to a new report in the New England Journal of Medicine, to be published online Sept. 7.
