Researchers from the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona (Spain) have reviewed ten years' worth of scientific studies on mitochondrial toxicity in pregnant women. Exposure to toxic agents such as viruses, certain drugs, pesticides, alcohol and tobacco cause mitochondrial diseases about which very little is known, and which are transmitted from the mother to the foetus.
Quick-Med Technologies, Inc., a life sciences company that is developing innovative technologies for the healthcare and consumer markets, announced today that it has signed a development agreement with Biosara Corporation, a medical device company targeting wound dressings for major medical and healthcare providers, along with the multi-billion dollar organized sports athlete markets.
Previous studies have shown that cats and dogs can catch COVID-19 from their owners, but new research is attempting to understand how and why this occurs.
