Sorrento Therapeutics, Inc. announced today that it has received a Phase I Small Business Technology Transfer Research grant from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases of the National Institutes of Health.
A new study led by researchers at Brigham and Women's Hospital has found that providing unanticipated information about risk of coronary artery disease during a genetic risk assessment for Alzheimer's disease helped some participants cope with their results, and also motivated participants to make changes to their health behaviors.
Diffregen LLC, a Temple University startup company, has been awarded a small business innovation research Phase 1 grant by the National Cancer Institute to advance Angiocidin, a university-created therapeutic to treat acute myeloid leukemia, to the doorstep of human clinical trials.
