A scientific review says what they are drinking is what is making Americans obese.
We hear much talk about preventive care, but nobody has defined it. From the content of the discussions, I deduce that what the health bureaucrats actually refer to would be better characterized as "early detection." Early detection is what occurs when a physician finds a disease in its early stages that might have been prevented by earlier measures. But who can take those measures? Not the physician, only the patient. There is only one person living the patient's life; it is the patient. I cannot live his life for him.
Researchers at the National Institute of Aging and Stanford University have used gene arrays to identify genes whose activity changes with age in 16 different mouse tissues.
Living Cell Technologies Limited (ASX: LCT; OTCQX: LVCLY), a global company pioneering the development of a cell implant therapy to treat diabetes, today announced that a binding subscription agreement has been executed in relation to share placement with Jiangsu Aosaikang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. ("ASK"). The proposed placement is for the issue of 14,334,080 LCT shares at A$0.12 per share, to raise A$1.72m. This represents a 5% equity stake in LCT, the funds to be received by LCT from ASK not later than 4 March 2011.
