Research led by scientists from Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School Singapore (Duke-NUS) has linked the abnormal behaviour of two genes (BDNF and DTNBP1) to the underlying cause of schizophrenia. These findings have provided a new target for schizophrenia treatment.
MAP Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announced today it will present new analyses from the FREEDOM-301 Phase 3 clinical trial in a late breaker session at the 52nd Annual Scientific Meeting of the American Headache Society (AHS) in Los Angeles, California on Friday, June 25 from 3:30 to 4:00 pm PT. The presentation will show that the Company's investigational LEVADEX™ orally inhaled migraine therapy was effective irrespective of when it was administered during a migraine cycle.
While it is well understood that the evolution of new genes leads to adaptations that help species survive, gene loss may also afford a selective advantage.
The Endocrine Society will present a panel of leading physicians and researchers for a half-day seminar/workshop titled "Hormones through Life."
According to a study appearing in an upcoming issue of the Clinical Journal of the American Society Nephrology, despite complications, these patients can choose to undergo dialysis in the comfort of their own homes.
