Survival rates for breast cancer in older women could be significantly improved by a simple awareness programme that promotes early presentation of the disease, according to results of the first trial of its kind presented at the National Cancer Research Institute Conference in Birmingham today (Sunday).
Aradigm Corporation today announced positive top line data from its recently concluded 6-month Phase 2b study (ORBIT-2) with Aradigm's once-daily dual release ciprofloxacin for inhalation (DRCFI, ARD-3150) in patients with non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis.
New results from the Women's Health Initiative (WHI) confirm that the health risks of long-term use of combination (estrogen plus progestin) hormone therapy in healthy, postmenopausal women persist even a few years after stopping the drugs and clearly outweigh the benefits.
As positive developments in the second periodic of France, the Committee welcomed the ratification of the optional protocols to the Convention, as well as that of ILO Convention No. 182.
