A randomized controlled trial published in the current issue of Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics discloses new insights into the role of self-help in inpatient psychotherapy. Depression is one of the most frequent and costly mental disorders.
The role of sex in human disease is a growing area of research. Although estrogen (in females) and androgens (in males) are often seen as possible causes for such differences, sex chromosomes, including the male-specific Y chromosome, may also play a role. However, it has been difficult to understand how the Y chromosome could contribute to disease in men, in part because it is much more difficult to sequence than all other chromosomes.
Stereotaxis' safety and efficacy in the treatment of patients with complex arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and congenital heart defects will be featured prominently in the scientific program of the 31st Annual Heart Rhythm Scientific Sessions in Denver, Colorado. Eight podium presentations and eight posters will underscore the broad clinical leadership that Stereotaxis has achieved in the treatment of patients with complex cardiac arrhythmias.
Adelaide researchers are one step closer to breast cancer prevention after finding a new driver for breast density, an identified risk factor for breast cancer.
