Phase 1B/2 clinical study to evaluate efficacy of PMX-60056 in reversing heparin levels initiated

PolyMedix, Inc., an emerging biotechnology company focused on developing new therapeutic drugs to treat acute cardiovascular disorders and infectious diseases, has initiated a Phase 1B/2 dose-ranging clinical study with its anticoagulant reversing agent, PMX-60056. The study is intended to demonstrate the safety and efficacy of PMX-60056 in reversing varying heparin levels, including the highest levels commonly used in surgical settings.

Accelr8 Technology Corporation announced its financial results for the first fiscal quarter ended October 31, 2010. Net sales revenues totaled $466,362; net income from operations was $49,974 with total net income of $67,250. For the previous quarter, net sales were $15,549 with a loss from operations of $(423,373) and a total net loss of $(411,981). Shareholders' equity totaled $4,985,682 at the current quarter's end, up from $4,909,778 at the end of the previous fiscal quarter.

Kessler Foundation scientists awarded subcontract to study ways to improve disability statistics

Kessler Foundation scientists John O'Neill, PhD, CRC and Amanda Botticello, PhD, MPH, were awarded a subcontract on the University of New Hampshire's Rehabilitation Research and Training Center grant on Disability Statistics and Demographics. The five-year grant is funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research under cooperative agreement H133B130015. Economist Andrew Houtenville, PhD, of UNH's Institute on Disability, is project director of the StatsRRTC grant, which totals $4.3 million.

State licensure is required in each state in which a PT practices.
