A new study by an Iowa State University kinesiology master's student has found that prolonged wearing of and walking in heels can contribute to joint degeneration and knee osteoarthritis.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research has awarded a total of $2 million to five research teams carrying out clinical studies to refine understanding of postural instability and gait disturbances (PIGD) in Parkinson's disease, and help speed the development of urgently needed treatments.
Cancer Research Technology (CRT), the oncology-focused development and commercialisation company wholly owned by Cancer Research UK, today announce that they have entered into an agreement with Hammersmith Hospitals NHS Trust (London, UK) to develop Phased Array High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) for the treatment of cancer.
