Opioid-related overdoses and deaths remain a major public health concern in Massachusetts, yet adolescents who experience opioid-related nonfatal overdose have been rarely studied.
Despite the political storm it has generated, the latest report by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office projects the law will give several million people an opportunity to work less or not at all because they won't be stuck in jobs simply to keep their job-based insurance.
Magnetic resonance imaging scans performed at the beginning and end of football season show significant changes in the brain's white matter in both youth and high school football players, reports a study in Clinical Journal of Sport Medicine.
A recent study found that as many as one out of three hospital patients is harmed by his or her care. And the Institute of Medicine estimates that as many as 100,000 Americans die each year from preventable medical errors in hospitals. That's about the number of annual deaths caused by auto accidents, AIDS, and breast cancer combined.
