Prasco Laboratories announced today that it is now shipping the authorized generic version of ZEGERIDĀ® (omeprazole/sodium bicarbonate) capsules. Authorized generics are generic pharmaceuticals manufactured identically to the brand product and sold under a private label. Under the terms of a distribution and supply agreement with Santarus, Prasco will sell and distribute the capsule form of Omeprazole/Sodium Bicarbonate in 20 mg and 40 mg strengths in the U.S. under the Prasco label.
Researchers at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine have discovered the molecular sequence of events in mice that turn a juvenile heart into an adult heart capable of responding to increased workloads.
The carotid arteries supply oxygenated blood to the brain. Every year, more than 300,000 people in the United States are diagnosed with blockages, or plaques, in their carotid artery. Recently, scientists reported that the part of hops that isn't used for making beer contains healthful antioxidants and could be used to battle cavities and gum disease. In a new study in ACS' Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, they say that they've identified some of the substances that could be responsible for these healthful effects.
