Surgeon General Regina M. Benjamin on Jan. 20 will issue "The Surgeon General's Call to Action to Support Breastfeeding," which outlines evidence-based steps that all sectors of a community can take to remove obstacles faced by women who want to breastfeed their babies.
A Cochrane Review into the effectiveness of hospital-based specialist palliative care has found evidence that when compared to usual care, it may slightly improve patient satisfaction and depression, and increase the chances of patients dying in their preferred place (measured by home death).
Malignant tumors have usually lost their ability to destroy themselves by programmed cell death, or apoptosis.
The first known attempt to evaluate the sleep patterns of children with Asperper Syndrome (AS), taking into account sleep architecture and the cyclic alternating pattern (CAP), finds that children with AS have a high prevalence of some sleep disorders and mainly problems related to initiating sleep and sleep restlessness together with morning problems and daytime sleepiness, according to a study published in the November 1 issue of the journal SLEEP.
