Research from The University of Western Australia has revealed an upward trend in the number of medications prescribed by dentists, particularly an increase in antibiotics, opiates and benzodiazepines.
Researchers from The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center reported study results showing that initial treatment with the PARP inhibitor veliparib in combination with chemotherapy significantly increased progression-free survival for patients with newly diagnosed, metastatic high-grade serous ovarian cancer, according to the results of the VELIA trial.
Today, Bristol-Myers Squibb is pleased to welcome the decision by The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) to recommend Yervoy (ipilimumab) for the treatment of previously-treated advanced (unresectable or metastatic) melanoma within the Final Appraisal Determination (FAD).
