At first the draw was to read the article that had gotten some Kansas legislators so worked up that 11 of them stormed en masse into a meeting to berate the volunteer members of the Johnson County Commission on Aging for writing it.
Radiology researchers at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) have found evidence that multiple sclerosis affects an area of the brain that controls cognitive, sensory and motor functioning apart from the disabling damage caused by the disease's visible lesions.
TRIUMF, Canada's particle accelerator center, and Canadian Nuclear Laboratories, Canada's premier nuclear science and technology organization, are pleased to announce that they have agreed to pursue a strategic partnership around the commercial production of Actinium-225, a rare medical isotope that has the potential to serve as the basis of new ground-breaking cancer treatments.
The longer the insomnia, junctions of cerebral blood vessels begin to degrade. In search of the answer to why do we sleep, research conducted at the Mexican Metropolitan Autonomous University (UAM) revealed that chronic sleep loss can cause certain neurotoxic molecules, which normally circulate in the blood, to be transported to the central nervous system and interfere with the function of neurons.
