For the first time, scientists from the University of Washington School of Medicine, Indiana University Bloomington and the University of Cambridge have determined how a plant hormone - auxin - interacts with its hormone receptor, called TIR1.
Researchers from the US recently isolated two VHH nanobodies - 7A3 and 8A2 - from dromedary camels (Camelus dromedaries) using phage display. These nanobodies were found to have a high affinity for the spike RBD and broad neutralization abilities against SARS-CoV-2 and its variants.
Constant infusion of a drug now used intermittently to "rescue" patients with Parkinson's from bouts of immobility may also help avoid these debilitating symptoms and smooth out their movement throughout the day, physician-scientists say.
Centuries ago, tribes gave up much of their land to the federal government in exchange for promises of funded health care, education and housing. Time and time again those funds have been cut. The sequestration has been no exception.
