For the second year, Aetna is sponsoring children's activities at the US Open and is determined to deliver twice the fun as part of its three-year sponsorship agreement with the United States Tennis Association (USTA).
New research shows that asthmatics who have poor symptom control could be benefited by using a three-drug combination inhaler. The standard treatment for these patients is a two-drug combination of an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) and a long acting beta 2 agonist (LABA). The third ingredient added to the mix is a long acting muscarinic antagonist, add the researchers. This combination successfully improved lung function and reduced exacerbations of asthma wrote the researchers.
Engineers from Michigan State University have secured $3.4 million in grants to develop diamond implants that could let doctors diagnose and treat Parkinson's disease earlier.
Ascendx Spine, which recently received ISO 13485 Certification and CE marking approval for its Ascendx VCF Repair System and its Acu-Cut Vertebral Augmentation System to treat vertebral compression fractures (VCF), today announced an agreement with Switzerland-based anwerina AG to distribute the Ascendx Spine products in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
