CorVel Corporation today announced earnings per share of $0.56 for the quarter ended December 31, 2010, a 4% increase compared to $0.54 in the same quarter of the prior fiscal year. Earnings per share for the nine months ended December 31, 2010 were $1.82, a 20% increase over the $1.52 earnings per share for the nine months ended December 31, 2009.
Many academic researchers and pharmaceutical companies have identified new Alzheimer's drug therapy candidates, but lack the funding to move them into human testing. At the same time, few funding sources support early-phase clinical drug trials. As a result, too many promising studies stall out early in the discovery process.
TSYS announced today that it has signed a new long-term agreement with U.S. Bank. As part of the agreement, TSYS will continue to support the bank's commercial card payment services, as well as become its exclusive partner in providing card processing services for the bank's Consumer Directed Healthcare (CDH) benefit cards, issued by its Healthcare Payment Solutions business line.
Without hands-on access to doctors and hospitals, oil rig workers who become sick or injured increasingly rely on telemedicine "visits" with physicians and specialists on land, a trend explored in detail in an article published in Telemedicine and e-Health, a peer-reviewed journal published by Mary Ann Liebert, Inc.
