According to the latest research by the University of St Andrews, good looking women are most likely to sit back and allow their male date to pay. The study started with the suspicion from psychologists that attractiveness would play a role in preferences for who should foot the bill for a dinner date.
Cancer Research UK scientists have shown that it may soon be possible to offer women a genetic test to assess their risk of breast cancer which could aid early diagnosis for those at high risk of the disease. Their findings are revealed in the New England Journal of Medicine today (Wednesday).
Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited announced today that the Company has received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to manufacture and market Fenofibrate Capsules USP, 43 mg and 130 mg. The Office of Generic Drugs, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, has determined the Ranbaxy formulations to be bioequivalent and have the same therapeutic effect as that of the reference listed drug Antara Capsules, 43 and 130 mg, respectively, of Lupin Atlantis.
Antibiotic overuse and resistance have emerged as major threats during the past two decades. Following an outbreak of Clostridium difficile infections, which often result from antibiotic use, health care professionals in Quebec, Canada targeted physicians and pharmacists with an education campaign that reduced outpatient antibiotic use, according to a study published in Clinical Infectious Diseases and now available online.
