A new study from India raises questions about the dangers to human health of farming chicken with growth-promoting antibiotics-including some of the same drugs used in raising millions of chickens in the United States and worldwide.
New York Times' The Caucus blog: "Conceding his health care overhaul had 'run into a bit of a buzz saw,' President Obama vowed on Friday to keep fighting for legislation that will 'hold the insurance industry accountable and bring more stability and security to folks in our health care system'" (Stolberg, 1/22).
The College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, the organization entrusted by government and the public to regulate the over 7,000 physiotherapists in the province, was distressed to hear of the alleged abuse of a 15 year old female by an individual claiming to provide physiotherapy services. The College clarifies for the public that Sedat Ozdemir is not a registered physiotherapist in Ontario.
With its mission of providing insight into issues surrounding blindness, the journal of the Association for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (AER) will now express that vision in its name. Insight: Research and Practice in Visual Impairment and Blindness has been the journal's new title as of January 1, 2011.
