Europe's most promising oncology biotechs and other key stakeholders will gather in Oslo, Norway, September 15-17 for the 2nd European Cancer Cluster Meeting (ECCP 2010). Co-hosted by the Oslo Cancer Cluster and the Cancer-Bio-Santé Cluster from Toulouse, the two-day meeting is a unique partnering opportunity for oncology biotech companies, business development and licensing executives from the pharmaceutical industry and investors, as well as innovative researchers and clinicians.
Results from a study published in the November issue of The Journal of Nuclear Medicine (JNM) show that powerful imaging techniques positron emission tomography (PET) fused with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are helping researchers better understand the long-term functional and structural changes that take place after traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Some of the first analyses on the impact of Medicare Part D, as well as new insights on drug adherence patterns by chronic disease patients, will be presented today and tomorrow at the 2010 Academy/Health Annual Meeting by several University of Maryland, Baltimore teams of pharmaceutical health services researchers.
For patients with extremely severe -compulsive disorder (OCD), a procedure called radiosurgery may bring improvement when other treatments have failed, according to a study in the January issue of Neurosurgery, official journal of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. The journal is published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, a part of Wolters Kluwer Health.
